Hi Readers!

I had surgery on Tuesday and have felt under the weather all week not doing anything but reading. Yesterday I posted about it on Facebook and so many of you told me to relax and get well. I am overwhelmed by your good wishes! Thanks so much!

I think I will continue to do just that. read and get well. There are eight stitches and a bruise the size of a baseball and it hurts to move my arm since it is in the shoulder. So I will make this short. Reading is one of the main things we can do to make our writing better. There is even a series to show us how to that by John Yeoman the teacher and guru behind “The Writer’s Village” and here is a  post from his blog showing us how to write.

There is always tons for learning in his blogs and books. Enjoy!

Also for you picture book writers #wrpibowe is over now but you can make it up by yourselves and get support from  Kidlit411 :

It is a super resource for picture book lovers of all sorts! enjoy!!

Now I’m going into my writing cave until my shoulder screams for mercy and then I will read. Take care friends!

Ha Ha, Rhythm. I have Turned into a Superwoman Writing wonder because I Finished the rough draft and sent it to Brooke Warner yesterday! It was a long awaited day and now I can’t wait to hear back.

My shoulder is feeling much better now except I am getting blisters from the adhesive tape on the bandage protecting the stitches. Thanks for the well wishes. 🙂

My husband saw a little white mole on my shoulder with irregular edges so we went to the dermatologist for a look. She took a biopsy and came back with a cancer diagnosis. We then made the appt to have surgery to remove it. The spot was the size of a pinky nail and the size for removal is eight stitches long, two inches. I think this is a sign for me to tell everyone I know to get their skin checked every year or two. I have warned my family and maybe I should have been more clear in my blog post. I may add it in for Friday’s.

Thanks so much for your well wishes, Patricia! They mean a lot to me. 🙂

      • Yes, it would be good to encourage people to have annual mole checks. I’ve had many precancerous moles removed. The price we pay for sunbathing when we’re young. Glad you are okay!

Thanks so much for the suggestion, Patricia! I added a statement to my Friday post. I don’t think I am going to h ave a PPBF post review as such , just a little something with the warning.

Even though I Feel so much better and it doesn’t bother me so much any more I am leaving for Richmond in a few minutes to celebrate my grandson’s birthday and won’t h ave time now. I could n’t do it earlier due to pain. This came suddenly and I didn’t have time to schedule posts in advance. I hope you have a terrific weekend! 🙂

          Hugs!

      Hi Sandy,

All that is needed now is for the doc to take the stitches out tomorrow and for the bruise to heal. I don’t know where that came from but it swelled up like a softball after the doc incised the cancer growth. It is still ugly but feel no pain any longer. Thanks so much for the well wishes.

I have loved taking photos of my yard this spring. I am glad you like it. 🙂
