Life Happening

Hi Friends!

My life is still under construction . It is a busy construction site. Here is what’s happening.

Our book, Edmund   Pickle Chin, A Donkey Rescue Story is finally in print on Amazon now. Here is the link .

The winners of the blog tour we had in June will be getting their copies  soon. Since nothing in this publication came easy we  had to expect the little glitch that happened when I ordered my author copies. I hope that will be resolved soon.

I am hard at work on my memoir and tightening my scenes. I am very excited about my teacher, Brooke Warner saying she will read my memoir from start to finish after I get ready and give me some all over advice and evaluation. I was able to get up at five AM all week and work on it. I would work on it for four hours before calling a halt. On Wednesday I even had a writer date with my neighbor friend, Jennifer Marsh, who is also writing a novel. We met at the library and had a productive time.

On Thursday I had lunch with an old nurse friend from my Fairfax Hospital days. There is nothing better than catching up with someone from your past to shed light on the present.

And this was the second time I went to restorative Yoga instead of Pilates on Friday. This, too, will be repeated. I loved it! Although I was quite sore the next day.

We put the winter bird feeder up this week. When I look out the window I can watch Chickadees and Tufted Titmouse eat sunflower seeds. And the squirrels have found the remains on the deck floor.

Here are some gifts for my writer friends:

Who’ve heard of C. J. Lyons? Her medical thrillers? Her thrillers with a heart? Did you know she also does “No Rules! Just Write! ” helping writers write? Here is her link.

One I can’t believe someone I haven’t introduced till now is Marketing Maven Katie Davis. I’m sure you’ve seen her around the internet with her Brain Brups and many other resources so here she is.

All is well at Lost Corner.

See you Friday for PPBF!

XOXO

You are busy! (In a good way, of course.) I’m glad it’s all coming together and you’re so motivated to keep at it. Me? I’m sloth-like and perfectly happy to let 5AM happen without me seeing it 🙂

    Bravo!!! 🙂

… about that soreness – have you tried having a hot bath with a couple of tablespoons of salt and same amount of baking soda? It loosens everything up.

OH! I would love a hot bath, Lori, but my patches prevent me. If I did soak in hot water all the medicine would disperse into my blood stream and I would overdose a little and then there would not be enough medicine for the next day of the patch. It is hard to understand but something in the instructions as well. Weird huh?

Thanks for the suggestion though. I hate having to say anything about the patches. Can’t take a long hot shower either. In fact there is a jacuzzi at the gym my hubby goes to. I would love to do that as well. Ho Ho. Oh well.
