Hi Friends!

Edmund Pickle Chin “THE REAL DEAL”
Before I get distracted let’s go to the main event and also at the end see my gift for you.
The top ten blogs for 2013 were: Here! for writers. I am a writer so I am interested in these blogs. I am writing a book. Yes , yes, Yes. A book. I’m not going to tell you what because I don’t want to jinx it. But if you’ve been following along you’ve heard. And though I’ve promised this before and failed, I am going to be careful this time.
No, it is not a picture book but a full length one. 60,000 pages by June is my goal. I have taken a class in scenes from Pennwriters and two classes in memoir so far. One was four classes on “Eat, Pray, Love” and one was four classes on “Wild” by Cheryl Strayed. Both were excellent and I want to revisit them.
This year I also want to take Katie’s boot camp video class. I downloaded all the classes in a folder and I have access to the face book page but it is more time-consuming than I thought it would be so I have not even finished the first class. I don’t have a computer camera to take selfies and I don’t have a camcorder. So I guess they need to be obtained before I take it.
And YES!!! My second picture book will come out by summer 2014!! I wrote it along with co author Susan April Elwood and called, “Edmund Pickle Chin, a Donkey Rescue Story.” The elevator speech for that is this: an abused donkey, Edmund, learns to trust his caregiver and help out on the farm. Or maybe this sounds better: Edmund Pickle Chin, an abused donkey learns to trust his caregiver and help out on the farm. We are finalizing the illustrations right this moment and I think the final edit is next. I am so excited!! WE are having so much fun with these illustrations. This is truly why I like eTreasures, because the publisher lets us have a say in the illustrations. We see them as Lynne Bendoly, the illustrator, finishes them. We have already asked her to put some flowers in the fields and voila, it happens. She is doing a great job!
Here is my second gift for you other writers out there;
In your writing do you see dragons that need slaying? Let’s kill those buggers.
See you Friday!
Hugs and kisses!
Lovely post! Congratulations on the upcoming picturebook. It sounds like a delightful story! And I wish you the best on your novel. You’re doing so well and I’m happy for you!

Thanks so much, Patricia. It’s actually my memoir and I’ve been afraid to say it aloud for fear of Jinxing it. But I guess this far in and I’m still going strong it’s going to be OK. 🙂

I”ve given myself away a thousand times but some people just don’t get it. I guess I’ll keep this secret from those that want it to be secret. Next week it’ll be all up. I”m through hiding. 🙂

Congratulations on your new book. A story that has so much to teach us. A story that has important life lesson to share. A story that gives hope that even if we experienced bad things in life, good things happen too and that there are good people out there to help us through the most difficult times.
