There’s two forks there on that Chocolate Cream Pie, one for me and one for you. Enjoy while we talk. Got your mocha? Good. It’s a good day for visiting and…
It’s a good day for reading. It’s rainy and cool. Soon days like this will be shared with my grandson and we’ll be reading together or doing crafts. Summer is calling me away from the computer and the internet. When I do get the hankering of wanting to be on the computer I’ll want to be writing.
So along with many of my blogging friends I am going to take a blog-cation. Beach, sun, swimming and summer fun are taking me away. Yes, I’ll miss all of you. I didn’t choose this lightly. I thought long and hard about it.
I even wrote over 600 words about why I was leaving you in the first place. Then I thought you wouldn’t want to read all that. But know I’ll miss you! I love my comments and I love all of you. 🙂 So I’ll leave it at that. That I’m on a blog-cation till September 7th with the first Perfect Picture Book Friday which I’ll link to Susanna’s blog post.
I may comment from time to time. I may even surprise you and publish a blog post or two. But I’ll mostly be on vacation from all things I do during non summer months.
Meanwhile you can give me kudos for finally getting my Kreatif and Sunshine awards posted in the sidebar. *YAY ME*! That took some doing! Everytime I put something in that sidebar it’s like learning it all for the first time.
And one more thing! I almost forgot! I want to thank Sandra for gifting me with the Versatile BloggersAward. I have received this again! I won’t do all the questions and other requirements because I did that once before when I got it. Thanks Sandra!!. I hope you can take a look at her blog, Kids Can Do It. Her Motto is Dare to Dream Big! Kids who became famous.

It’s a wonderful thing you’re doing–I need to take a break too from blogging–well, I rarely blog now since it takes me so long to comment on all the other blogs, but I love doing it. I like reviewing too–I’m being pulled apart by the things I like and don’t want to part with any of them but I am not superwoman. I’m glad to see you taking this first step which I may follow. Thanks Micki! I hear that once you go down for any reason you lose your readership and I am worried about that but I need the time to spend with my family.
I will miss all the comaradarie of blogging and comments. I will miss all my blogging friends and will most likely comment on some of my most favorite blogs when I have the time. One needs to prioritize the precious time they do have.

I think many of us are going to step away from the blogging a little this summer, Clar. Please don’t worry about your readers…we’ll all still be here in September, eager to follow again. I have a little trip to Chicago coming up the first week in July…and then I hope to do more picture book writing and house de-cluttering…and, like you, will post when I can…hopefully once a week. I’ve so enjoyed reading your posts…this wonderful kidlit community is amazing!
